Measure for Your Awning

Step 1 — Measure the height of the wall where you want to install your awning. SunSetter awnings require a minimum height of 7 ft. 6 in. from your deck or patio floor to the bottom of any roof, eave, or overhang.
Note: 1000XT models require only 7 ft.
Step 2 — Measure along the wall of your house at the desired mounting height to determine your awning width. SunSetter Awnings are fabricated to match the following width measurements:
- Most awning models, including all 1000XT models match the size measured.
  (example: 14 ft. size awning = 14 ft. actual width)
- All Platinum Plus (Semi-Cassette) models measure 3 inches wider than size measured.
  (example: 16 ft. size awning = 16 ft. 3 in. actual width)
- Awnings that are 10 feet measure 3 inches wider than size measured.
  (example: 10 ft. size awning = 10 ft. 3 in. actual width)
Special Considerations:
- Fabric width is 4 ½ inches narrower than awning width for all models except...
- Platinum Plus (Semi-Cassette) fabric width is 7 ½ inches narrower than awning width.
- 1000XT fabric width is 10 inches narrower than awning width.
Step 3 — Motorized models only: Please indicate which side you want your electrical cord to hang down from your awning as you face the house, left or right. It should be closest to your electrical outlet.
